seja a elípse [tex3]f(x,\, y)=4x^2+9y^2-4x+9y-10[/tex3]

temos as consições:

[tex3]f(x,\, y)<0[/tex3] o ponto é interno.
[tex3]f(x,\, y)=0[/tex3] pertence a elípse.
[tex3]f(x,\, y)>0[/tex3] é externo a elípse.

nesse caso:

[tex3]f(2,\, -1)=16+9-8-9-10=-2[/tex3] logo sim, o ponto é interior a elípse.
