Qual é a solução da equação [tex3]\sqrt {x+4} + \sqrt {x-1}[/tex3]=5 ?

Condição de existência: [tex3]x > 1[/tex3]. Elevando ambos lados ao quadrado:
[tex3]x+4 + 2\sqrt{(x+4)(x-1)} + x-1 = 25 \therefore 2x-22 = -2\sqrt{(x+4)(x-1)} \therefore \\\\ x-11 = -\sqrt{x^2+3x-4} \therefore x^2 - 22x + 121 = x^2+3x-4 \therefore 125 = 25x \\\\ \Leftrightarrow x = 5[/tex3]
Testando, vê-se que a solução é válida.
