A) exerce função de verbo
B) exerce função de verbo
c) exerce função de verbo
d) exerce função de substantivo
e) exerce função de verbo
Na D, "finding" significa "descoberta", logo exerce função de substantivo.

Na D, "finding" significa "descoberta", logo exerce função de substantivo.
Espero ter ajudado.
Só uma duvida vc tem alguma dica para detectar rapidamente se é verbo ou substantivo ou a única maneira é indo na tradução das frases ?

A letra D é o mesmo esquema do português. Quando aparece um artigo antes, acaba substantivando a palavra. Perceba que apareceu THE 1988 finding, então deixa de ser verbo.
